Weird title. But that's all that's left on my face right now!! It's amazing! Everything is absolutely gone, my zits, blackheads, whiteheads, and my pores are teeny tiny! I officially love Accutane <3

Accutane Journey Day 36: 5 Week + 1 Day Update

If you're wandering why I delayed this post for a day is because I got the ever so lovely flu and yesterday I slept just about all day. Which btw getting sick sucks on Accutane because your lips are chapped and painful and your nose sometimes bleeds and it makes being sick 5x worse. But I'm sort of back and ready to post which is exciting because my skin had been clearing up beautifully. Accutane clears from head to toe. Literally it works it way down, so right now my forehead is completely clear. (And next will be my nose and cheeks, then my chin, etc.) I never posted a picture of my forehead because all it had was a bunch of whiteheads but now it's totally clear and poreless and smooth and it just makes me really excited for the rest of my face!
This is my super clear forehead with my freckles that I'm glad you can finally see!
My left cheek which has been improving every day
My right cheek which still has some weird discoloration from the cyst but it's healing :)
Alrighty more updates to come and wish me luck on my flu recovery!

Accutane Day 30: The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly

Well I guess I'll start off with the good, and that is that 1. I got my prescription renewed. 2. The doctor said that I'm right on track. And 3. He also said that this month is the month for clarity and serious improvement! Which I CANNOT wait for!
Next the bad, which are the side effects. They're at their peak right now which means a very sore back, and very dry EVERYTHING (i.e. Eyes, nose, hands, feet, face, and especially lips)
Which brings us to the ugly. Which is this thing called angular cheilitis (aka those painful swollen blistery cut on the corner of your mouth) that had popped up on my face. And guess what caused it... Dry lips!
I mean seriously. Look at that thing. It's all sorts of nasty and painful and I just want it to go away soon. Oh well, I guess it's all good because, after all, this is the month of improvement. :)

Accutane Journey Day 28: 4 Week Update!

I can't believe that I already knocked out my first monthly round of Accutane! Only 3 more months to go! Today I go back to the doctor for some pregnancy tests and all that good stuff, and I can get a prescription renewal. Ok starting about last week, I have seen nothing but improvement in my skin. My left and right cheeks as seen below are significantly better and there are actually very little actual pimples on them, instead I'm left with a few scabs and scars which of course will heal :). Blackhead city has diminished into blackhead ghost town (still there but not even thought about) and oh my god it looks amazing.

Besides the actual pimples clearing up, my skin has improved in other ways too. It is so incredibly soft and bright and I can start to tell that other people are taking notice too!

Accutane Journey Day 21: Three Week Update

Wow I can't believe it's been 3 weeks already since Accutane! My skin is actually starting it finally change and oh my god I'm so excited for it to clear up :) the acne on my cheeks has decreased, except for this weird cystic zit that kind of turned into a bruise type thingy, as you can see below. But besides the acne, my skin just is starting to feel fresher, calmer, cleaner, and brighter and it's truly amazing. (Plus my lips are finally starting to not be so damn dry)

Accutane Day 19: Posting Probs and Flakey Patches

So sorry guys, the last few posts on my phone didn't go through for some reason, but they're up now so it's all good :) Today marks 19 days into my endeavor for clear skin and so far the symptoms have remained the same except for two. The first are these weird psoriasis-like patches on my skin that I keep getting, and they're no bigger than a pea. I've gotten about 3 so far and they don't itch or anything, they're just kind of there.
The second is part of my initial breakout. Cysts. Now I've had cystic acne before but usually they're not as big or red, but they stick around for a very long time. These cysts are about the size of half a penny or so and they're painful and they look very deep, but in about 2 days, they're gone.
Well that's all for now :) one week update is coming up soon :)

Accutane Day 14: 2 week update!

Woohoo! 2 weeks down and counting! This is the time where symptoms really start to become noticeable and oh my goodness they definately have. First of all, my initial breakout is definately not subsiding, I'm getting these deep pimples on my cheeks and I'm breaking out all over my chin (which usually is clear except for blackheads). The dryness is taking effect now more than ever as you can tell by my gorgeous lips in the picture below. The joint pain is actually getting pretty bothersome, because every time I bend down or lean to a side, my back and hips stiffen up and it just causes all sorts of issues. My hair is starting to fall out a lot more than it did regularly and of course, it's pretty dry too. As for the clarity, I'm actually impressed by how much the redness and inflammation has gone down in my skin, and as seen in the pics below, it is getting a little clearer. Keep in mind also that these pictures are super close up and taken with a strong flash so my skin looks a lot worse in the picture than what it does in real life. Plus the fact that I cover it up quite nicely with makeup. Despite that, I still just want clear skin. But I'm on my way there. :)

Accutane Day 12: Joint Pain Fun

So I was doing a lab in physics today and  I was leaning on my right leg. but when I tried to stand up straight, my hip was so stiff and painful and I couldn't even move my leg for a good 5 minutes. Sounds like fun huh? The good news is that I'm starting to see a little bit of clarity in my skin! I think my initial breakout is subsiding a bit, but it's still pretty early to tell.
