Accutane Journey Day 65: 9 Week + 2 Days Update

Sorry for the late post again! Honestly I just kept forgetting to do this thing and so it lead to being two days late. Anyways my skin is looking so much better! There are a few tiny zits and a few blackheads but other than that, NOTHING. My skin feels so incredibly soft and smooth too! My scars are surely fading away and I actually got a compliment on how good my skin looks. The best part is that my freckles can finely shine through because I barely put on any makeup now! See for yourself

Btw all of that red discoloration is scarring, not acne, AND you can hardly see it in regular light (without flash).

Accutane Journey Day 58: 8 Week + 2 Days Update

Ok so this past month was pretty nice, and it feels good to say that I'm halfway done with Accutane! Which is nice because my lips are about to kill me with all if their flakiness and cracks. Anyways, sorry this post is 2 days late, I've been busy spring breaking and whatnot. Yesterday I went back to the dermatologist and he said that my skin is definately on the right track to clearing up. My cheeks keep going through peaks and valleys and just when I think it's clearing up, they break out again. My doctor said this is 100% normal due to the skin balancing back out again. He also said this month should be even better than the last. Which made me smile :). I mentioned a new regimine of sorts in my last post as an effort to speed track this clearing up, it's basically sleeping with tiny band aids on your face that either have neosprin or benzoyl peroxide on them. This actually worked very well and got rid of a lot of scabs and spots quickly. In addition to my regular routine, I have added Mederma Scar Gel. I've only been using it for a week and can already notice a big difference in my scars! Anyways, here are the pics!

Accutane Journey Day 52: Weird Rashes and On A Mission

Well friends, spring break starts next week for me and I'm hoping for generally clear skin by then, however I have more issues with my regular skin than my acne right now. Besides dryness, I have another weird symptom.

This is a picture of my knee along with it's little companion. To me this looks like psoriasis but I don't really know. The weird thing is, I'll only get one of these at a time, and they're never in the same spot. This is my 4th one already so I'm not too worried because 1. They're tiny and 2. They clear up quickly. Another skin issue is this pretty gross roughness all over my arms complete with some red bumps. 

You can't tell super well in the picture, mainly because it's hard to see. And I would just put lotion on my sandpaper arms, but any kind of lotion burns and makes my skin red, swollen, and itchy. I'll probably pick up some cortizone or something and see if that helps. 

So I'm on a mission, as I said above. I want my skin to be significantly clearer by Saturday. And then almost totally clear by Wednesday. Because there are mostly scabs and scars on my face, I'm doing a little regimine that I will show you guys (if it ends up working). And as for pimples, there are literally about 5 right now, and they are all either whiteheads or blackheads. This is pretty amazing compared to the 60+ That I counted whenever I started Accutane.

Accutane Journey Day 49: 7 Week Update

Alrighty friends, back again for another update. This week sorta sucked because my cheeks got bad again. And I will admit that some of it was due to my little squeeze fest yesterday. But it's all good because I'm nearly halfway through Accutane, which only means that I'm even closer to clear skin :)

Accutane Journey Day 42: 6 Week Update!

Getting better everyday! I'm still struggling with scars and weird red pigmentation but it is healing so that's always good news. Not much else to say except that I'm almost over my flu that rendered me useless for about 3 days straight.
